Sales Page Copywriting Case Study
The Project
Molly Marie Keyser, from Boudie Shorts, needed a short-form sales page for a photography contract she was selling on her site. This product included fill-in-the-blanks style documents drafted by a lawyer to cover all the legal bases for boudoir photographers. The copy needed to be relatable yet professional, underscoring the seriousness of legal protection.
The Process
Research: the first part of the writing process required research. Through a client questionnaire and client research, I learned what the boudoir photographer’s pains were and all the features and benefits of the product. I also studied the brand voice to make sure the copy encapsulated the voice and style of the business.
Copywriting: I wrote the copy for the short-form sales page using emotional triggers, authority building, and other persuasion techniques. I formatted the copy for online readability, with short readable sentences and highlighted benefits. I also used on-page SEO best practices and conversion techniques to make this product a no-brainer sale.
The Outcome
This sales page earned Molly over $8k within the first month of launching, which was an invaluable return-on-investment. The contract completed a suite of products for the boudoir photographer.
